The Story
A mid-century desktop filing cabinet fitted with two horizontal sliding drawer boxes, constructed from dense board bound in textured buckram or faux-leather paper. The exterior casing is finished in a warm grey-brown textured cloth, whilst the drawer fronts present in a contrasting pale mottled grey.
Each drawer is mounted with a stamped metal combination label holder and cup pull, retaining original hand-lettered slips indicating utility in a workshop context ('Linseed Oil & Putty' and 'Sand Paper & Blocks'). Conceived originally for index filing, standard library records, or workshop storage, the compact form offers serviceable small-scale containment.
