The Story
A substantial taxidermy shoulder mount of a mature North American bison (Bison bison). Modelled in a semi-sneak forward pose with head turned slightly to the dexter, the mount captures the characteristic mass and heavy proportions of the species.
The preparation features the natural horns retained upon the skull cap, set above the dense, woolly forelock and beard of dark brown to charcoal wool. The hide transitions across the shoulders to the shorter, lighter summer pelage behind the hump. Fitted with dark glass eyes and finished muzzle detailing. Mounted over an internal sculpted manikin for direct wall suspension.
