The Story
A tall brass hall stand dating to the early twentieth century, constructed around a tapering, faceted central shaft. The upper section terminates in a molded brass cap and is fitted with four dual-branch curved hooks, each tipped with ball finials to take both coats and hats without stretching the cloth. \n\nThe shaft steps down into a lower frame fitted with an integrated circular stick or umbrella retaining rail. Supported on four out-swept tubular legs terminating in button feet, the piece relies on balanced proportions and weighted stability for daily hall use. The brass surface retains an aged, mellow tone throughout, displaying typical patination and softening consistent with honest domestic service.
