The Story
A decorative wall relief modelled in the form of a solitary folded avian or angelic wing, executed in cast stone or heavy composite material. The composition displays finely delineated primary and secondary remiges overlaid with dense covert plumage, rendered in relatively sharp relief to catch the light.
The surface has been treated with a multi-layered polychrome wash, simulating the weathered, soot-stained texture of aged ecclesiastical masonry or architectural stone salvaged from an exterior façade. The top and trailing edge terminate abruptly, either emulating a fragment from a larger figurative sculpture or designed deliberately as an architectural accent piece for interior display.
