The Story
A substantial stag head wall mount, conceived in the Continental sporting tradition closely associated with the Black Forest and Alpine hunting lodges. The head is finished in a deep, near-black patination, emerging from a cluster of carved oak leaves and scrolling acanthus that form the mounting bracket.
The trophy is surmounted by an expansive set of multi-point authentic antlers, naturally textured with pearling at the burrs and displaying broad, sweeping tines. Whether originating as a lodge fixture or a sporting decorative piece, the carving captures the naturalistic poise of stag trophies popularised throughout the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The backplate allows flush architectural mounting, lending dramatic three-dimensional presence to an entrance hall, library, or sporting interior.
