The Story
A decorative pair of mid-20th century table lamps, each constructed from a central tubular brass stem dressed with curved, polished natural horn mounts. The horns are held in tailored brass collars fitted with decorative pendant tassels, terminating in capped finials that clamp directly to the upright shafts.
The stems are mounted to stepped rectangular plinths composed of polished brass plates set over veined white marble slabs, each raised on four compressed brass bun feet. The contrasting materials reflect a mid-century Italian or Continental taste for incorporating sporting and natural history specimens into formal interior schemes. Both lamps are fitted with modern screw-thread lampholders and inline switches, ready for shade fitting and immediate domestic use.
